To Apply for

Art in Mental Health: A Foundation Course in Art Therapy. starting in October 2006
Applications are not accepted or acknowledged before 1st June 2006
Please supply the following information, together with a passport size photo, an S.A.E. and a deposit cheque for £50.00. made payable to Insider Art and send to:
Insider Art, P.O. Box 272, St Thomas, Exeter. EX2 9ZL

The course fees are: Employer funded: £480:00. Self funded: £415:00. A limited number of concessionary places are available at £360:00. Payment is required in full by 22nd September 2005 at the latest to secure a place on the course.
Please state clearly :.
1) Your name, address, phone and e-mail where possible. .( We would only phone you to arrange a meeting time - see below- if your preferred options are not available.)
2) Your current employment.
3) Your previous work experience and your education experience.
4) Reasons for application and any further information in support of your application.

5) If you would like to apply for one of the concessionary places, please attach a note explaining why and photocopy proof of student ID etc. Priority will be given to students and unemployed applicants but low waged applicants are also considered.

6) If you require a receipt, please say so.

.7) There is a £10:00 charge for invoicing. If you require an invoice please give a named person to whom it should be addressed Please note: Insider Art reserves the right to levy an additional £50:00 administration and interest charge to organisations who have not paid course fees within 60 days of the invoice date. Insider Art are a small independent training provider who cannot provide interest free loans for training to larger organisations.

8) Please advise us of any disability/access requirements.
9) We meet informally with every applicant to answer any questions you may have, to make sure that this is the right course for you and that the course is offering what you are looking for. If you would like to bring a couple of examples of your own artwork, or photos of artwork, to this meeting we would be interested to see them. There is, however, absolutely no obligation to do this.
We will e-mail or phone you to arrange a mutually convenient meeting time. The meetings take place in Exeter. Confirmation and a map will be sent following your application.

Cancellations:
If, having formally accepted a place, you withdraw from the course before 30th September we will charge a £25 administration fee and will try to fill your place and return the balance of your fee to you
but cannot guarantee to do so. If we are unable to fill your place we will refund half your fee. The earlier a cancellation is made the more likely we are to be able to fill it.

We are unable to refund course fees after 1st October.

You do not need a specific form to apply for either course. You can either copy these lists of questions and insert your answers or use a separate piece of paper.
If you hand write please be as clear as possible.
Please make sure you answer all the questions and send with the enclosures as requested.

10) A light lunch is provided on the course, please advise us of any dietary requirements.
We meet informally with every applicant to answer any questions you may have, to make sure that this is the right course for you and that the course is offering what you are looking for. At this meeting we would like to see some examples of project work you have been involved in and we would be interested to see a few examples/photos of your own artwork.
