Insider Art is a small group of artists, trainers and art therapists, based in the Southwest of England, who work to develop innovative, ethical and informed good practice across the arts & health field.

We are running two courses this Autumn:

Art in Mental Health A Foundation Course in Art Therapy
This part time evening course will run, as usual, from October. Applications accepted from June 1st 2006.

Insider Art are a small independent training provider. We work in partnership with various organisations on specific projects but do not receive core funding from any.

If you want more information than is on the various pages of this website about working with art or about art therapy or want to discuss training needs and options get in touch. We’ll do our very best to be helpful.

Insider Art events are designed to develop emotional and psychological literacy within arts practice. Our aim is for participants to extend their interpersonal and group work skills for working with art with people while exploring and enriching their own personal artmaking.

We aim for participants to develop deeper understanding of how to engage people in enjoyable art making and to enhance their creativity when using a broad range of arts practice in health contexts. Sharing skills and good practice through approaches which are informed, ethical and evidence based from arts, health, educational and psychological perspectives.

Insider Art offers workshops, courses and an annual conference aimed at encouraging and developing; dialogue, respect and understanding between people working within diverse aspects of arts and health practice.
